Best Places to Get Aftermarket Sneakers for Cheap

Alright so you’ve read the first introduction article and it may have struck your curiosity. At this point you are probably thinking that sitting in a line for hours or entering a million online raffles isn’t the best way to approach this side hustle.

Although this approach can yield you the highest return, you may be looking for alternative ways to make money through sneaker reselling.

If this is what you are thinking, then look no further! This blog post will get you started on how to find aftermarket sneakers at a cheap price to sell for a profit.

How to tell if a sneaker is cheap?

First, we must be able to determine if you are getting a good deal. If you are into sneakers already, you must already know about Stock X and Goat.

These two apps are basically the “market” of sneakers. Through these apps you can determine the market price of a sneaker and compare it to the deal you’re being offered. As a personal preference, I use Stock X to help me with brand new sneaker market pricing and goat for the used sneaker market pricing.

So before you even spend a dollar on a sneaker, download these apps on your phone to analyze if you are getting a good deal or not.

Best places to find aftermarket sneakers for cheap

1. Instagram

Yep… the app you scroll on everyday has some of the BEST deals for sneakers. I personally have made thousands of dollars buying and selling through Instagram.

How did I do it?

On Instagram there are hundreds, if not thousands of sneaker pages selling sneakers. If you are Canadian, you can check out my personal instagram selling page @cad.steals and look at my following to find a bunch of local canadian pages.

You want to start following these pages. I know I know… you might ruin your follower to following ratio… but it’ll all be fine once you start seeing how comparatively cheap some of these pages sell sneakers at.

My tip for beginners would be to buy used sneakers. Often times you can make a higher profit margin selling a used sneaker. The market for used sneakers is all over the place which means there is a better chance of you buying one for low and selling for high.

2. Facebook

There’s two different ways to find cheap sneakers on Facebook; Facebook Groups and Facebook Market Place.

In terms of Facebook Groups, it’s as simple as joining a group and scrolling through all the postings and scavenging good deals. Although, some of these groups have strict rules so make sure to read those before engaging.

A group I recommend (if you are Canadian) is CSX. This stands for Canadian sneaker exchange. There are thousands of members so you can start making connections and sharing your love of sneakers with likeminded people!

In terms of Facebook Market Place, you can see what local deals are being offered in your area. Although you may not be able to find much depending on your location, sometimes you struck gold so definitely don’t turn a blind eye to Facebook Market Place.

3. Kijiji

Last but not least, we have Kijiji. We all know Kijiji… Sometimes we make fun of it but in reality, you can find some really good deals! And, similar to Facebook Market Place, they tend to be local to us meaning you save money on shipping.

Although BE AWARE.

There are so many people selling counterfeit sneakers (AKA fake sneakers) on Kijiji. Me myself have been scammed multiple times with counterfeit sneakers. I have learnt that if the price is too good to be true, then its too good to be true…

There are apps you can download on your phone that authenticate your sneakers via photos. I highly recommend downloading these apps. One of them is Check Check. Also, try to avoid sneakers that don’t come with original receipt or any proof of purchase.

This doesn’t only apply to Kijiji as well, it applies to all three platforms I’ve mentioned above. So definitely do your due diligence before purchasing a sneaker!
